**Role Purpose**:
Negative News Screening sits within Screening Utility Operations. The objective of NNS is to provide CMB, GBM and RBWM & clients with a globally consistent, and best in class Negative News Screening process. It ensures that screening is performed in accordance with Group and Regulatory Policy, obtaining documents as required from the client/ relationship manager, undertake all the necessary due diligence checks and ensure appropriate escalation is followed according to Policy. The NNS CoE is supported GSC centers in Bangalore, Guangzhou, Krakow, Mexico, Argentina & Egypt.

The Global Sanctions Policy mandates that all customers are screened at on boarding and periodic intervals, following changes to customer information and when the Official Lists and other applicable Local Lists are updated. Automated or manual screening is conducted using HSBC’s mandated automated customer screening solution which generates alerts for investigation, verification, and follow-up as necessary.

**Main Activities**:

- Managing requests assigned in a timely and accurate manner, contributing towards positive client experience of the end-to-end remediation process.
- Performing out-going / incoming calls, providing excellent customer service and assistance to the customers on CDD projects.
- Taking ownership of remediation related problems as they arise working closely with all CDD functions to ensure bottlenecks are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
- Providing solutions to problems.
- always Adhering to all performance level agreements
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- An active participant during crisis management and process team meetings and Provide support and guidance to your peer group to meet CDD objectives.
- Own the profile management of requests assigned.
- Contributing to positive and productive environment through openness, flexibility, positive attitude and prompt reporting and escalation of issues and proper time management.
- Should be an active team player.
Requirements- A bachelor’s degree or with equivalent industry/functional experience
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to be flexible and willing to change along with changes in corporate and department objectives in addition to recommending changes to assist in meeting these objectives.
- Ability to balance quality and quantity (volumes) with primary focus on quality.
- Is self-motivated, pragmatic (sense of urgency is a must)
- Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
- Previous experience in working for AML/KYC teams is desirable (D)
- Strong customer service mindset or sales orientation (D)
- Ability to speak and understand and English fluently (as applicable), write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills (E)
