Governance & Project Sr Manager

Overview:
The
**Governance & Project Sr Manager** is responsible for leading excellence project delivery within the PMO hub; by coaching in PMO tools, driving change management in Agile practices, coordinating resources and capacity assessment, and managing the delivery of large scale projects while ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and adhered to the expected quality standards & budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a coach for the project managers on matters of project management tools and standards to drive excellence in project delivery under Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Support Change Management to build and maintain the Agile-at-scale competency across the IO PMO portfolio.
- Promote a learning culture to continuously assess and adapt PMO methodology.
- Liaise with other PMO hubs to coordinate Resource Management - Identify potential resource bottlenecks, unique requirements, contingencies and plan accordingly for the new project requests and active ongoing projects.

- Identify and coordinate program critical path changes throughout projects
- Communication Management - Communicate relevant messages to all stakeholders
- Issue Management - Establish and maintain standards for issue categorization and resolution according to issue severity and facilitate resolution
- Risk Management - Proactively identify and quantify potential risks
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and schedule compliance / assurance reviews
- Quality Assurance - Provide criteria in selecting contractors during the RFP process
- Business Alignment - Assess the fit and identify gaps between business needs and processes with the proposed solution
- Technology Alignment - Assess the fit of proposed technologies with current or planned environment / infrastructure

Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree or equivalent is a must.
- Project implementation with proven track record is a must (5Y+)
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, frameworks and practices as a coach (3Y+)
- Experience within the finance industry is a plus (Banking, insurance, financial services, captive financingor related).
- English language skills (Portuguese is a plus)
- Solid understanding of the overall business and corporate objectives and works under broad project direction with the ability to self-define specific tasks
- Excels at administering and coordinating groups of individuals by promoting teamwork, delegating tasks, resolving conflict and setting goals
- Communicates effectively at all levels in written correspondence and in live settings utilizing relevant presentation tools and techniques
- Ability to stay on task by managing time and prioritizing responsibilities to maximize productivity and minimize distractions in key project areas
- Manages risks by predicting and creating solutions to issues before they arise
- Understanding of basic accounting principles to ensure projects remain within budgetary parameters
- Takes a hands-on approach to project work and is adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken
- Creating and delivering effective presentations
- Comprehensive PC based tools
