Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Regional Business Director, LATAM to be based in either Brazil or Mexico to drive the commercial operations in LATAM.
You will be part of the Global Emerging Markets (GEM) leadership team reporting to the Senior Director for GEM located in Denmark. You will have full P&L responsibility for Ambu’s business in LATAM (currently covering activities in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Peru). Your key responsibilities will be to identify future growth opportunities, build the necessary organizational capabilities and allocate appropriate resources to accelerate Ambu’s growth in the region. Furthermore, you will be responsible for delivering the agreed business plan targets and the overall business objectives as well as defining and executing the long-term business growth strategies based on customer and consumer needs. Furthermore, you will manage the current LATAM team of three headcounts (including 2 additional vacancies once onboarded). The expectation is that the LATAM team will grow significantly in the coming year(s) once the growth strategy for the region has been developed and implemented.
The external key stakeholders are the regional distributors as well as key opinion leaders within Ambu’s main segments in LATAM. Internally, the key stakeholders will be the LATAM team, the GEM management team and other relevant colleagues in the GEM marketing team, customer service, the Regulatory Affairs (RA) teams, as well as the relevant stakeholders at Ambu HQ (including senior management, supply chain, corporate RA, Global Marketing etc).
**Key responsibilities**
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Build the LATAM commercial organization to support commercial ambitions and growth targets incl direct responsibility for the commercial team in LATAM
- Develop and implement the strategic regional plan based on the global strategy for Ambu
- Full P&L responsibility for Ambu’s business in LATAM
- Focus on customer and marketplace with an awareness of the importance of business results.
- Motivate, inspire and lead the Ambu LATAM team
- Identify future growth opportunities, build organizational capability and allocate appropriate resources to achieve growth targets.
- Make timely decisions and balance short-term needs with longer term strategic impact
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with key external and internal stakeholders

- A strong commercial profile with regional experience in LATAM within medical devices
- Experience with international med tech/pharma company
- Experience with organisational development/establishing regional team
- Experience with managing a commercial regional team
- A strong strategic profile
- A self-starter personality with great capacity to manage and complete many different tasks
- An entrepreneurial profile who thrives with many different responsibilities/tasks
- Strong capabilities to prioritise and delegate in a busy environment
- Spanish and English on a professional level is required
- A positive can-do “ the sky is the limit” attitude
