**About this role**

The Mexico Field Development Lead is responsible for creating and safeguarding the technical knowledge of the company to create economic value for our customers. This is a technical and advisory role that will ensure the successful delivery of our end-to-end pollination programs for growers. You will use your expertise to create company and customer pollination design protocols that will direct our Operations team activities in each country to track and manage pollination to ensure Beeflow value proposition delivery.In this role, you will collaborate with several teams across the company. You will collaborate with Sales to create project (farm-level) protocols and to communicate them with the customer. In addition you will also work with Marketing to build and support our value proposition (i.e., sales presentation, conferences). Your primary collaboration will be with the Operations team to make day-to-day decisions via tools (data dashboard) that monitor Beeflow technologies and services performance in the field. You will be responsible for analyzing trial data in order to build and present reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Further, you will provide technical expertise to Beeflow and to our customers by answering their needs and questions as they relate to field trials and our technologies.

This position is based in Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain a working knowledge of crop pollination for target crops and for crops in the development pipeline. This includes but is not limited to blueberries, almonds, avocado, cherries, strawberries, kiwis, etc.
- Create company and customer protocols for the US to ensure successful trial execution of our pollination services to farming companies.
- Customer outreach and engagement by answering their needs and questions.
- Provide technical expertise to Beeflow, our customers, and to other external stakeholders such as the public during conferences.
- Partner with Sales during sales meetings to explain Beeflow technologies and answer technical questions.
- Assist Operations to determine the required resources for each project (hive density, number of monitors needed to collect data, prescribe technologies, etc.)
- Participate in S&OP meetings to present the data dashboards, as well as raising and solving issues.
- Create tools (data dashboards) to monitor Beeflow technologies and services performance in order to advise operations and to learn how to enhance our services in future projects.
- Collaborate with the Beeflow Operations team to make day to day decisions to deliver the Beeflow value proposition based on both data and field observations. This includes regular field visits to ensure protocols are being properly implemented.
- Analyze trial data to build and present reports to internal and external stakeholders.

**Requirements**:
**Minimum qualifications**:

- MS/PhD (or 2+ years equivalent experience) in Pollination Biology, Plant Sciences, Entomology, Agronomy, or related fields
- Ability to analyze and interpret field level data using data analysis and visualization tools such as R, Python, and PowerBi
- Experience designing field level experiments
- Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts in a relatable way
- Fluency in English.
- Self-starter, hands-on, ability to work independently, and must work well with teams and be results oriented.
- Desire to generate a huge positive impact on sustainable agricultural practices.
- Detail-oriented and organized, effective written and verbal communication skills, with particular focus on science communication.
- Knowledge about bee biology and crop pollination is highly desired.
- The readiness to travel frequently in the country (owns driver’s license) with occasional travel abroad.
- Up to 50% overnight travel.
- Able to drive during day and night.
