PURPOSE OF POSITION

Procurement representative in project Team, linking the development activities of engineering with the procurement organization making sure the sourcing plan is optimized to and well planned, for new projects to ensure the sourcing process and supplier activities are executed in line with project requirements. The role ensures that prototype, production parts, and tools are ordered in time to meet the build trials includes working closely with Suppliers, Engineering, Program managers, Quality, and strategic procurement to ensure project deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience within the automotive industry preferred.
2/3 year experience in procurement.
Experience in the field of project management.
Knowledge of the cost structure and the value chain of the assigned products.
Advanced English.
Experience in contract negotiation and price negotiation in a manufacturing environment.
Strategic thinker and implementer of effective tactical plans.
Managerial skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Procurement representative in project Team from the initial phase until SOP.
Manage the RFQ cycle guaranteeing compliance with the budget, timing and project requirements.
Provides procurement inputs during the product development phase, including alternative manufacturing processes.
Ensure suppliers respond appropriately to the program management requirements including issues of delivery, cost or quality up to PPAP phase.
Track bill of material costs and sourcing timing along with overall project timeline for assigned projects from early quotation phase up to SOP.
Ensures timely sign off with the segments of all supplier contracts related the project (from development contracts to mass production).
Manages achievement of all project milestones related to suppliers and follows progress to project Team.
Defines and controls communication flows and contents between project Team and suppliers.
Ensures proper transfer to serial production including productivity actions to be implemented.
Works closely with the commodity management and regional procurement Team to ensure procurement actions / decisions are aligned to project targets.
