**Your Job**
The Sr Tax Specialist will be primarily responsible to support the Tax Senior Manager in managing tax matters associated with the activities of multiple Koch affiliates operating within Mexico.
**Our Team**
Koch Shared Services Mexico a subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc. is seeking to hire a Tax Senior Analyst located in Guadalajara or Mexico City.
**What You Will Do**
- Assist the Tax Senior Manager with local Mexican tax compliance processes (income tax & VAT) with both internal resources and external tax advisors.
- Assist the Tax Senior Manager with management and oversight of transfer pricing compliance requirements:
- DIM - Appendix 9
- Local File
- Collaboration and assistance with statutory filings, including the gathering of supportive data and building out of defense file to support operations for a successful audit.
- ISSIF (filed with tax return) or Dictamen Fiscal (audited financial/tax reporting - if necessary).
- Provide local tax technical expertise and analysis in support of local business operations.
- Ensure companies have the appropriate records and processes to support tax audits with focus on areas of highest risk.
- Develop strong business relationships with local company finance directors/controllers, local management, and the Mexican leveraged capability to understand current and future planned operations.
- Identify and communicate potential value-added opportunities to Koch tax and business team when appropriate.
- Manage and provide support for tax audits or informal queries from the tax authorities.
- Oversight and review of tax accounting records for reasonableness and accuracy.
- Assist and support with big value-added innovation and transformation initiatives for Mexican tax compliance processes (income tax & VAT).
**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Approximately 5 or + years of Mexican tax experience (Income Tax and Value Added Tax) with an emphasis in Mexican tax compliance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Law or Finance.
- Highly motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with ability to effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in both English and Spanish.
- Team-player with ability to form relationships and motivate others.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
**What Will Put You Ahead**
- Experience in a Big 4 firm and/or U.S. based Fortune 500 multi-national corporation preferred.
- Master's in taxation is preferred.
- Experience in transfer pricing rules and regulations.
- Experience with CIT deductibility rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Tax accounting knowledge.
- Data and Systems experience with a comparative advantage for innovation and process improvement a plus.
- Pluses include tax experience with IMMEX program requirements including maquiladora operations.
