Quoting Engineer

**About the Role**:
The Quoting Engineer plays a crucial role in the Durable Goods Manufacturing sector by providing accurate and competitive quotes for products and services. **Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- ** Indispensable Experience in manufacturing harnesses, electrical and electronic components.**:

- Proven experience in a quoting or estimating role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with CAD software and product design.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quoting software.
- ** 100 % Bilingual in English and Spanish.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze customer specifications and requirements to prepare detailed and accurate quotes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand product capabilities and constraints.
- Research market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive quoting.
- Maintain and update quoting databases and tools to streamline the quoting process.
- Provide support to the sales team by answering technical questions and assisting in negotiations.
- Record the quotations being processed in the shared point on the intranet.
- Elaborate the breakdowns of the raw materials required in the customer's drawings or BOM.
- Consolidate the materials that need to be quoted.
- Send them to the suppliers who are able to quote them.
- Receive quotations from suppliers and use them in the final quotation that is sent to the sales people.
- Breakdown of labor time for each assembly number is done.
- Analyze and quote the tooling required to manufacture the products quoted.
- The costs of materials, labor, tooling and important notes are placed on the quotation form and sent to the sales people.
- After the quotation is sent within a reasonable time, feedback to the sales people is required.
- When a previously quoted project is awarded, the information is distributed to the engineering team to set up the system, conduct the necessary meetings and analysis.
- NPI meetings are attended when required.
