Financial Controller

Strategic Business Solutions LLC, located in Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced, achievement-oriented Financial Controller to manage all aspects of the finance and accounting functions for the Company’s clients. The position will report to the CEO

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree or MBA in accounting. CPA preferred.

Thorough knowledge of U.S GAAP accounting principles and procedures

**Training or Expertise**

Proficiency in Speaking and Writing English

Inventory control experience including inventory GAAP valuations

Experience with processing monthly internal financial statements and related balance sheet reconciliations

Experience with payroll processing and employee benefits administration

**Experience**

Minimum **7** years of experience as a Controller. Prefer projects for U.S. companies.

Minimum **10** years of overall combined accounting and finance experience. Prefer projects for U.S. companies.

Knowledge of Quick Books software, including all functions and month-end/year-end closing process

**JOB FUNCTIONS**

Manage all accounting department operations including proper revenue and cost recognition, working capital transaction management, liquidity, and cash reporting, payroll processing and employee benefits, inventory management, vendor contracts, and relationships, cost controls, and risk management

Coordinate the preparation of the annual operating budget and financial forecast variances

Prepare and record monthly journal entries under GAAP

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations under GAAP

Prepare and publish timely GAAP monthly internal financial statements

Supervise distribution of all other internal management reports on a timely basis

Support month-end and year-end general ledger processes using accounting software

Manage annual audit and tax return process with CPA firm

Manage inventory controls, valuation, and pricing matters

Assist in customer contract management process and related revenue recognition

Comply with state and federal government reporting requirements and filings

Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Streamline accounting processes using technology

Maintain capital asset records and depreciation

Assist in presentations to Board

**REQUIRED SKILLS**

High level of written and oral English

Minimum 7 years of experience as a Controller

Minimum 10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

Bachelor’s degree or MBA in accounting. CPA preferred.

Inventory control experience including inventory GAAP valuations

Ability to institute and monitor internal controls and identify cost savings

Ability to work with business and technical teams to ensure proper entry/capture of financial data at various points in the company's business process

Thorough knowledge of U.S GAAP accounting principles and procedures

Experience with processing monthly internal financial statements and related balance sheet reconciliations

Experience with payroll processing and employee benefits administration

Excellent administration and organizational skills. Ability to solve problems autonomously

Ability to lead the accounting team and provide training as needed

Strong communication skills, diligent and detail-oriented

Excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity, and high-performance standards in producing all reports and materials

Knowledge of Quick Books software, including all functions and month-end/year-end closing process

Strong skills in EXCEL software

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per month
