Job Description

In this Temporary Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer role, the collaborator will execute Supplier Quality core processes according with Automotive standards.

The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer will need to have background on Project management, Problem solving methodology, Teamwork and continuous Improvement mindset as this position requires very close collaboration with our supplier base to initiate improvement projects toward reducing quality incidents at supplier plant

For this position it is required to have clear knowledge of Plastics Parts and injection molding process.

Activities/ Experience:

- This temporary position (2 years) will require to be a Bose Resident SQE at our main plastic supplier plant located at San Luis Rio Colorado.
- Perform Process Control Audits to assure our supplier complies with their quality management system.
- Understand PPAP deliverables based on AIAG standard
- Revision and Validation of Process Change Notifications (PCN) from our supplier base to assure changes made by suppliers will not have any impact from a quality/cost perspective.
- Collaborate with Bose Tijuana SQE and Supplier for 8D process completion and validation to avoid reoccurrences.
- Clear understanding and Knowledge of Plastics commodities and injection molding processes.
- Clear Mechanical Drawing interpretations (GD&T) and metrology experience.
- Understanding of Automotive Standards IATF16949, ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of statistical tools for problem resolution (8D, PDCA, DMAIC, DOE) and APQP tools (MSA, PCP, PFMEA, PPAP).
- Must have minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive Business environment as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Able to be a 2-year Temporary Bose Resident SQE at our main supplier plant located in San Luis Rio Colorado

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- Continuous Improvement Technics (Desirable)
- Bilingual: English & Spanish (80%)
