We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

**Global Banking Analyst**

**Role purpose**:

- The incumbent will be required to work extensively with the analysts and associates in Bangalore and global investment banking professionals on trading comparable analysis, precedent transaction analysis, company profiling, industry research, project finance, infrastructure financing and capital markets transactions etc. as part of pitch books, presentations and other marketing materials across sectors and products in Global Banking
- Focus on supporting origination of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) assignments, divestitures, financial restructurings, and associated financing solutions, supporting the relationship bankers, etc.
- Support the team members by performing financial analysis and research as per the requirements
- Acquire in-depth understanding of client needs and the market, industry and business environment. This understanding enables the firm to design customized solutions for clients - whether it is strategic initiatives like M&A, financing or risk management solutions
- The incumbent will work on a very wide variety of projects on the above asks with colleagues from across the world

**Main activities**:

- Preparing presentation materials and participating in pitches and deals - this will involve conducting industry and product research; benchmarking, profiling companies, case studies, preparing financing models and valuation analysis (relative and absolute valuation methods, Merger models, etc.) to aid the analysis as appropriate
- Developing understanding of the sector / product to identify new business opportunities over time
- Undergo continuous learning and enhance job specific skills over-time
- May be required to travel overseas for short duration as per business needs
- Pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflow, where applicable
- Take ownership of work done and have high execution capabilities
- Operate within policy and seek to use the most cost-effective solutions, e.g., travel/expenses requests are within policy and budget, encourage greater use of video conferencing as an alternative to travel.
- Ad hoc duties as required by the business.
Requirements- Exceptionally qualified MBA or other finance professionals from B-schools (with good CGPA score)
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly proficient at Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong accounts, corporate finance, quantitative and business writing skills
- Good knowledge of financial modeling
- Good at multitasking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail.
- Highly motivated; strong work ethic; thrives under pressure, confident, team player.
