Quotation Analyst Jr

Key Responsibilities and Main Activities:

- To be in charge of the correct operation of the production lines and to comply with the established work plan.
- Competitiveness and participation in the best line of the month.
- To provide a good service to internal and external customers.
- The person in this position will use technical knowledge to prepare quotation packages based on product content and may perform BOM preparation for some large and complex projects with the guidance of a senior quotation specialist or staff.
- Must possess the ability to interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications / drawings and ensure quote is technically compliant and competitive by communicating with sales engineer to determine / clarify project requirements.
- Understands, analyzes, documents and communicates contractual, technical and commercial terms and has a working knowledge of bidding strategies and market conditions.
- This person will deliver a quote package with comments on exceptions and embedded value for the sales engineer to use in customer presentations and has an understanding of the sales engineers strategy for the quote opportunity to ensure a quality result.
- Involved in the order delivery process as necessary to ensure proper order conversion.
- Fully embraces and utilizes new tools and technology to improve efficiency.
- Review project plans, specifications and contractor counts to generate an accurate bill of materials and pricing.
- Interact with specialists (engineers, product designers), customers to determine design intent and product recommendations.
- Discuss and develop a bid strategy for projects with the sales team to maximize hit rate and profitability.
- Request factory quotations as necessary to ensure that price levels meet territory pricing and are competitive with the competition.
- Negotiate prices with customers.
- Propose value engineering solutions for projects.
- Track project bids to determine patterns of success or failure.
- Maintain accurate working documents and files (electronic or hard copies) to facilitate the smooth transition of projects to other departments.
