**Position Summary**: **Primary Accountabilities**: - Demonstrate competence with data science techniques and tools used by the team, including the use of machine learning and statistical analysis - Demonstrate competence in identifying, extracting, cleaning, evaluating, visualizing, and transforming applicable data with a variety of techniques and tools, including various SQL and NoSQL databases - Demonstrate competence in software development (scrum, scripting, programming, versioning, testing, deploying, containerization, production support, etc.) - Demonstrate good communication skills, especially when collaborating with team members - Publicize results and findings via reports, presentations, and technical specifications - Demonstrate a drive to keep skills and knowledge up to date - Demonstrate innovation and continuous improvement - Demonstrate professionalism with focus on customer satisfaction and product quality - Work with direct supervision on specific tasks, but is self-directed and curious - Must be able to function well as part of a team **Required Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or any related field with an applied quantitative and experimentation focus - Masters or PhD Degree in quantitative and experimentation focused field is preferred - 3-5 years of related work experience in machine learning, data visualization, and other data science techniques; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the job responsibilities - Extensive experience in software development (scripting, programming, versioning, testing, deploying) on Linux and Microsoft Platforms - Extensive experience in databases (data processing extraction, cleansing and transformation) - Proficient with presentation software: Microsoft Office & Google Suites and giving presentations to technical and non-technical audiences - B.S. in computer science or information systems fields required, or 5+ years related work experience. - Strong analytical, critical thinking skills used to solve complex problems - Strong technical background with a mix of development and automation skills - Outstanding attention to detail and consistently meets deadlines - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work alongside a highly collaborative team, but also a self-starter, able to work independently with little guidance - Experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization - Proficient in shell scripting, Python, Scala or other programming languages - Knowledge of Spark/PySpark - Excellent SQL knowledge, ability to read/write SQL queries - Skilled in Hive (HQL) and HDFS - Experience working with both unstructured and structured data sets, including flat files, JSON, XML, ORC, Parquet and AVRO - Comfortable working with big data environments and dealing with large diverse data sets - Proficient in Linux environments - Familiarity with source code management/versioning tools such as Github - Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices in data processing - Experience building data visualization dashboards to capture data quality metrics using tools like Tableau - Understanding of public cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure is a plus - Ocultar descripción completa Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per month Work Location: Hybrid remote in 67150, Guadalupe, N.
