**About this role**
**HVAC Global Operations (Commercial and Residential) North America** is seeking a skilled and experienced **Senior Material Planner** to join our **HVAC Aftermarket Planning team**. The **Senior Material Planner** is responsible for both material planning and procurement activities, and to ensure the seamless flow of materials to meet customer demand. The **Senior Material Planner** must have a strong background in supply chain management, sound negotiation/communication skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Purchasing**: Responsible for the PO placement process; support the buying/sourcing team to ensure parts/accessories are quoted/sourced in a timely manner
- ** Supplier Coordination**: Collaborate with suppliers to confirm timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues
- ** Material Planning**: Develop and implement material planning strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand
- ** Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
- ** Data Analysis**: Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements
- ** Process Improvement**: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning and purchasing efficiency
- ** Reporting**: Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels, purchasing activities, and supply chain performance
- ** Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
**Basic Qualifications**
- Associate degree
- 5 + years of experience in material planning and purchasing
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration
- Master’s degree in supply chain management
- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Experience in material planning and purchasing in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Experience with international sourcing and procurement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
