**What does a great Mainframe Security Analyst do?**

Our Mainframe Security Analyst is responsible for Security Information Services for Large Platform environments to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data information by protecting against internal and external threats and inadvertent or malicious actions. The security team protects the mainframe environment by using toolsets for RACF, Z/OS, Z/VM, TPF, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support personnel will have knowledge of access control mechanisms within the supported mainframe platforms and related security software.
- Validate requests to ensure the requests contain all required data and are authorized by appropriate data owner.
- Analyze requests and determine course of action, based on existing corporate and client policies and procedures.
- Evaluate security impacts and resolve related issues.
- Validate changes to ensure accuracy and completeness from a security perspective.
- Enforce process controls.
- Raise, follow up on approval, and implement normal/emergency changes based on valid requests and approvals.
- Perform and review dataset and resource rules re-organization, based on appropriate approvals.
- Run reports as defined and installed. Ensure jobs are generating reports as requested.
- Audit support may be requested through standard processes from multiple sources, and includes providing global documentation, reports, etc. Requirements are usually based on the Service Organization Controls (SOC) Framework of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), and Payment Card Industry (PCI) activities.
- Provide technical security support, security administration, compliance and incident management in support of the following:

- Support password resets.
- Add/Change/Delete User ID, logins, groups, profiles, access, resource and tasks.
- First point of contact for audit support.
- Support incident and problem management as required.
- Maintain resource and data ownership tables for use in validating approvals.
- Basic Audit responses
- Audit reporting review per client request for our supported platforms and tools used in various regions.
- Support Disaster recovery planning and exercise support, as required.
- Evaluate these issues with Level 2/3 as directed.
- On call support as needed.
- Building dashboards, sophisticated alerts and reports for critical security events.
- Promoting a strong security culture driving security awareness and best practices and continual improvement across the business.
- Working across the business to ensure that security and operational controls are followed to ensure client data remains secure, available, and private.
- Provide pros/cons of security solutions impact to Travelport’s business strategies.
- Support Compliance managers in providing Cyber Security artifacts
- Serve as an internal trusted advisor providing security consulting services and advice on security and assist with compensating control alternatives where security requirements cannot be met.

**What we look for/who would prosper in this role?**
- 1+ years’ experience of working knowledge of mainframe experience
- Working knowledge of the following Information Security domains
- Cloud Security
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Network Security
- Database Security
- Application Security
- Vulnerability and Threat Management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills including the ability to present to large and diverse groups (using Microsoft Visio/PowerPoint)
- You are an all-around team player, fast self-learning individual.
- You have excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- You are self-motivated and independent.
- You have excellent English.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Preferred.
