**Job Overview**

We are looking for an experienced Database and Security Administrator, who will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our computing and storage infrastructure. The Database and Security Administrator role will be responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of the systems infrastructure of the company. This position will be fully remote and we are looking for someone located in Latin America.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Infrastructure Management**: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of physical and virtual servers. Manage storage, cloud, and network infrastructure.
- **Security Management**: Implement and manage security tools and policies to ensure protection against malware, intrusions, and data breaches. Conduct regular security audits and coordinate responses to security incidents.
- **Technical Support and Troubleshooting**: Provide Tier III support, troubleshooting complex issues that tech support team members cannot resolve. Collaborate with other IT staff and external support providers.
- **Automation and Scripting**: Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency. Utilize configuration management tools to keep track of the IT environment.
- **Disaster Recovery and Backups**: Manage backup solutions and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- **Cloud Services Management**: Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-based services and resources.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure, including system configurations, network maps, and access controls.
- **Training and Development**: Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices. Provide training and guidance to tech support staff members.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- +3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Database Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience with databases design, maintenance, back-ups and migrations.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), backup and recovery procedures and database management systems (DBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases
- **Proficient in installing, administering, and **maintaining** Linux/Unix Operating Systems.**:

- **Familiarity **with Cloud **services **such as Azure**.**:

- **Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts.**:

- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID(formerly Azure AD) or other LDAP services.
- **Basic knowledge of Docker and Git.**:

- Proficiency in managing cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Solid understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
