Construction Accountant

We’re looking for a Construction Accountant to join our team As a Construction Accountant, you will be responsible for managing construction costs, and preparing financial reports. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a background in accounting and a passion for construction, we want to hear from you

**Responsibilities**:

- Review project bids and estimates to ensure accurate price quotes and project scheduling.
- Prepare and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statements.
- Prepare and file tax reports.
- Maintain all financial records including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and manage billings.
- Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects.
- Review contractors’ bills for accuracy and completeness, and approve payment requests.
- Process invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Review, approve, and process payroll, and expense reports.
- Research and resolve invoice and billing disputes with contractors.
- Audit all accounts against contractual terms, budgets, and time schedules.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills.
- Maintain files on general ledger, assets, and mills.
- Maintain files on contracts, warranties, insurance policies.
- Prepare reports as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with concentration in accounting.
- 2+ years accounting experience in construction or real estate development.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including cost controls, job costing, and profit and loss accounting.
- Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts.

Pay: $14,500.00 - $22,500.00 per month
