**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Note - This is a fully remote position, based in the CST time zone._

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepare account reconciliations to ensure they are accurate, reconciled, and complete with substance supporting the balance
- Prepare various monthly journal entries; thoroughly understand journal entries with mínimal oversight
- Validate Mass Journal entries are approved daily during month end
- Roll accounting periods as needed globally
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and answer initial questions
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports per TriMas requirements and other ad-hoc reports as needed
- Critical report testing
- Velocity/EHS Reporting
- Assists in financial systems on-going development and maintenance efforts of internal business unit software systems
- Assist and research governmental filings (Sales and Use Tax) as needed
- Responsible for an effective and efficient general ledger close

**Physical Demands/Work Environment**:

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced business while in a remote environment
- Ensures that effective communication and teamwork are maintained within areas of responsibility

**Qualifications**
- 2-3 years or more of related Finance or Accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills
- Ethical and discreet
- Aptitude for learning and teaching others new processes, procedures, and software
- Proactive and innovative
- Approachable and personable
- Knowledge of Syteline and Blackline financial reporting systems is a plus
