- Process purchase orders for direct materials. - Develop new and current suppliers seeking continuous improvement in deliveries, quality and costs. - Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain aligned to the organization's PPV goals. - Monitoring inventory levels to ensure compliance with inventory goals dictated by the organization. - Coordinate shipments of materials from suppliers to TT Electronics, ensuring timely delivery of purchase orders. - Preparation and monitoring of “Score Cards” with suppliers at least once a year. - Communicate results of the “Score Cards” to suppliers as well as work on an action plan as appropriate. - Search and selection of quality components and products. - Process purchasing requisitions as necessary to maintain the correct supply of materials required to meet the production plan. - Coordinate inspection and supply priorities with the quality inspection departments and warehouses to prevent and/or avoid line stoppages. - Review defective or rejected materials with the quality control team, users and other departments involved to determine the cause of the problem and take action as appropriate. - Serve as a link and/or intermediary between the quality control department and suppliers to monitor actions derived from findings in the delivery of materials. - Monitoring and tracking department metrics, reporting performance against set goals, as well as analysis to determine the root cause of gaps between the result and the goal. - Use lean manufacturing tools such as Kanban, consignment and min/max to ensure inventory levels aligned with the organization's manufacturing plans and seeking to reduce delivery times, as well as improve supplier response times and flexibility.
