Un Technical Writer es un profesional que se encarga de elaborar una documentación técnica que cumpla los estándares para el público al que se dirige. Su trabajo consiste en explicar tecnologías complejas de manera útil y clara.
Algunas de las responsabilidades de un Technical Writer son:
- Investigar, analizar y comprender el producto o servicio que se documenta.
- Colaborar con los desarrolladores, ingenieros, diseñadores y otros expertos para obtener la información necesaria.
- Crear y mantener manuales, guías, tutoriales, especificaciones y otros documentos técnicos.
- Asegurar la calidad, la precisión, la coherencia y la accesibilidad de la documentación.
- Adaptar el tono, el estilo y el formato de la documentación al público objetivo y al medio de difusión.
- Aplicar las normas y los principios de la escritura técnica.
Algunas de las habilidades y la experiência que se requieren para ser un Technical Writer son:
- Tener una formación académica en comunicación, periodismo, ingeniería, informática o áreas afines.
- Dominar el inglés y el idioma natal, tanto oral como escrito.
- Tener conocimientos básicos de lenguajes de programación, herramientas de edición y diseño, y sistemas operativos.
- Tener capacidad de análisis, síntesis, organización y atención al detalle.
- Tener fuertes habilidades interpersonales, de trabajo en equipo y de comunicación.
- Tener experiência previa en la industria médica o en sectores relacionados.
