Your tasks

As a Product and Process Industrialization Engineer, you will be responsible for air spring bellow development and other rubber components for passenger cars and light trucks we are looking for a rubber material expert to strengthen our team. You will be working as part of global engineering teams including Continental and its customers.

**Profile**:
Required Qualifications:

- Fluent in English mandatory (Speaking / Writing).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Natural Sciences)
- Knowledge related to rubber compounds is desired
- Demonstrated problem solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated passion, dedication, and commitment
- Ability to travel throughout the year
- Valid driving license.
- Valid VISA.
- Valid Passport.
Desired Qualifications:

- Degree in Automotive, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Material Engineering
- 2 or more years of experience working in automotive / material development
- Experience with vehicle dynamics, chassis, or suspension development
- Hands-on experience

**Offer**:

- Local implementation of new materials (raw materials, compounds, reinforcements, bellow products) regarding process and processability up to serial production
- Create and update material specifications for series production.
- Collaborate with supplier (fabric, cord, polymer, rubber chemicals, etc.) to support new product development, localization, quality, material property deviation and sampling processes
- Define material tolerances to guarantee stable product quality
- Define and evaluate lab tests and limits for inspection of incoming materials (raw materials, compounds, reinforcements)
- Definition of procedures for materials in the production processes
- Support of operations concerning material issues within serial production
- Local technical contact for R&D central functions
- Support as technical expert in claims (raw materials, compounds, reinforcements, bellows, field returns)
- Perform lab analysis to support claims, and carry out return part analysis
- Determine and document root cause of complaint and failure
- Support supplier audits
- Ensure environmentally friendly handling of materials, avoid the use and introduction of hazardous materials
- Fulfill legal and customer requirements in collaboration with Corporate Health and Safety
- Creation of material safety data sheets for bellow products
- Support of sustainability activities of rubber materials within the Continental Automotive Technologies
