**About the job**:
Under direct supervision, the Design Engineer is responsible for designing and improving refrigeration systems and processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability. This role involves analyzing existing systems for optimization, supporting production processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes such as foaming, gas charging, and electrical components.
**Your tasks**:
- Design and optimize refrigeration systems and components.
- Analyze and improve production processes, focusing on foaming, gas charging, and refrigeration cycle efficiency.
- Create detailed part and assembly designs, including technical drawings and models.
- Develop process documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for production issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical systems associated with refrigeration processes.
- Suggest and implement procedural and standard improvements to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Participate in the design and implementation of fixtures, tools, and equipment.
- May travel to support project execution or training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in refrigeration design or a related area.
- Experience in process improvement and production optimization.
- Operational knowledge of foaming and gas charging processes.
