Over the past decade, we've shipped over 150 products for clients that include Visa, American Express, Capital One, WEX, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, and TOMS Shoes. Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.
We are looking for a Lead Engineer who will partner with Product Management and Product Design to build new features leveraging more complex web-based UI frameworks. You should have previous experience identifying and integrating appropriate frameworks. The technical stack is React, Node, MySQL, MongoDB and AWS.

**Responsibilities**:
Work within the tech stack to help identify and implement the right UI framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Assist in familiarizing the team with front-end frameworks.
Navigate and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, with the capacity to work in areas outside of one's comfort zone and drive innovation.
Lead the execution on ideas from the initial stage to the final outcome, handling any ambiguity that comes along the way.
Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and take the lead in developing solutions.
**Qualifications**:
7+ years of experience in software development with 2 years of Lead experience
Expertise in React, Node, MySQL, MongoDB and AWS
Expertise with front-end frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Prior experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to completion, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
