Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions in foreign trade and customs matters, guaranteeing efficient, transparent operations aligned with regulatory requirements. Implement strategies to minimize legal and operational risks for the company.

Main Responsibilities:
**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Supervise compliance with laws, regulations, and international treaties related to foreign trade and customs.
- Keep import and export processes updated according to regulatory changes.

**Operational Management**:

- Coordinate and oversee customs operations to ensure correct tariff classification, valuation, and documentation.
- Monitor the preparation and submission of customs declarations, permits, and required authorizations.

**Cost Optimization and Control**:

- Identify opportunities to reduce logistics and tariff costs through programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, or certifications like Authorized Economic Operator (OEA).
- Ensure efficient inventory control under specific customs regimes, such as bonded warehouses or transformation and repair programs.

**Relationship with Authorities**:

- Act as the primary liaison between the company and government authorities such as SAT, Ministry of Economy, and Customs.
- Manage audits, inspections, or reviews, providing the necessary documentation.

**Risk Management**:

- Identify risks related to foreign trade and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement internal controls and periodic audits to ensure operational integrity.

**Training and Advisory**:

- Train internal teams on customs regulations and best practices.
- Advise operational and legal areas on specific foreign trade issues.

**Process Optimization**:

- Propose improvements to operational processes to reduce costs and times in customs operations.
- Implement technology and tools to automate and simplify customs procedures.

Experiência y requisitos

**Requirements**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Law, International Business, or related fields. Postgraduate studies or certifications in customs compliance are preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in roles related to foreign trade, regulatory compliance, or customs management.
- 80% English.

**Technical Knowledge**:

- Mexican customs legislation (Customs Law, General Rules of Foreign Trade, FTAs, etc.).
- Tariff classification, customs valuation, and rules of origin.
- Customs electronic systems (Single Window, Annex 22, Annex 31).
- Government support programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, and AEO certifications.

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational capacity.

- Adaptability to regulatory and environmental changes.
