We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who will work with collaborative engineering teams to integrate technology into working solutions for HVAC controls/Thermostats. Ideally, we are looking to add a strong entry-level engineer who has a strong CE interest and passion and who understands what it takes to succeed in a consumer driven industry. The technology evolving and the product offerings are growing.

**Essential Duties and Functions**
- o Works with cross functional team including electrical, mechanical, firmware and software engineering to develop product designs from concept to implementation
- o Understanding of electrical engineering discipline
- o Design and schematic capture of digital and analog circuits
- o Understanding of basic PCB layout principles
- o Develop and execute test documentation for electrical designs
- o Understand and follow best product design practices
- o Collaborate with other engineers and departments to advance projects/tasks
- o Time management of several assignments having varying scope and complexity
- o Interface with external design partners and suppliers

**Knowledge and Experience**
- o 2+ years’ experience
- o Schematic capture. Knowledge of Altium/PADS Schematic capture and Layout tools. PCB layout design is a plus
- o Analog and digital design, troubleshooting related to electronic devices
- o Experience with microcontroller-based systems preferably ARM
- o Basic wired connectivity and communication with emphasis on UART, I2C, and SPI.
- o Experience with: Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, and more
- o Basic Soldering/Re-work skills
- o PC knowledge (including MS Excel and MS Word)
- o Good verbal and written communication skills are a must
- o Proficiency in the English language a must
- o Must be detail-oriented and should possess good inter-personal skills to be able to interact with various engineering departments
- o Quick learner and able to take direction
- o Fluent in Mandarin and/or Spanish is a plus
- o Energy and passion for the industry
- o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- o Must be able to work in a fast-paced device development environment
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
