**Sr DBA Architect**

**Job Title**: Senior Database Architect

**Location**: Maxico

**Job Type**: Full Time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Architecture & Design**: Architect and design scalable, high-performance, and cost-efficient database solutions using **Azure Cosmos DB and SQL Server**.
- **Data Modeling**: Develop and implement relational and NoSQL data models to support business requirements.
- **Performance Optimization**: Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, sharding, and query tuning.
- **Security & Compliance**: Ensure database security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance with industry standards.
- **Cloud & Hybrid Solutions**: Implement **cloud-native** and **hybrid** database solutions leveraging **Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and other Azure services**.
- **Data Governance & ETL**: Define data governance policies and build ETL pipelines using **Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics**.
- **Automation & Monitoring**: Develop automation for database deployments, schema changes, and monitoring using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve database performance issues, failures, and bottlenecks.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **8+ years** of experience in **database architecture, administration, and development**.
- **Expertise in Azure Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and Azure Data Services**.
- Strong understanding of **NoSQL, distributed databases, and multi-model databases**.
- Experience with **ETL tools (ADF, SSIS) and big data processing (Databricks, Synapse Analytics)**.
- Proficiency in **T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning**.
- Knowledge of **security best practices, RBAC, encryption, and compliance frameworks**.
- Hands-on experience with **Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates)**.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of **data warehousing and analytics**.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in **Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, or Lakehouse architectures**.
- Familiarity with **Kafka, Event Hubs, or real-time streaming architectures**.
- Certification in **Microsoft Azure Data & AI**.
