The Test Engineer will review, check, and supervise New Product Design requirements. The Test Engineer works in a cross-functional development group responsible for a variety of tasks and activities within this dynamic environment.

The Test Engineer will plan and conduct functional, control algorithm evaluation, product safety, operational, and performance tests on Vertiv Global Rack and Thermal Edge equipment and systems.

The Test Engineer contributes to develop and test Mechanical systems, Human Machine Interface systems, Software/Firmware Systems & Electrical Systems. They support the Electrical, Thermal, Software and Mechanical Engineering teams in New Product development of Racks and Thermal systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with engineering team and product management to ensure systems meet product requirements.
- Create product test plans and test-cases from product requirements.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug Mechanical and product interactions.
- Develop Validation Plans for new product projects. (DVP&R).
- Support Engineering Team during product development and validation (DFMEA & TRL)
- Develop test network environments for devices under test.
- Generate protocols, guidelines and standards for testing.
- Document technical issues and solutions.
- Suggest fixes and improvements.
- Builds prototypes to support the development of product design.
- Other Duties as assigned.

**Education & Certifications**:
Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or directly related degree or equivalent work experience.

**Requirements**:

- Test Engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- English proficiency
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.
- Experience with various sensing device as photocells, scanners, weight scales, proximity sensors.
- Experience of communication systems including Ethernet, RS485, RS232, CAN and serial to Ethernet conversion.
- Working knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer as used in vapor compression systems and other heat moving equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team.
