**Job Description**:

The Senior Payroll Specialist is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll functions within an organization. The primary focus of this payroll specialist will be ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process and review payroll information for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries.
- Handle all aspects of payroll, including deductions, bonuses, overtime, and other special payments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit required payroll-related reports and filings.
- Maintain accurate records of employee payroll data.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management.
- Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
- Work with other departments to ensure accurate employee information.
- Utilize payroll software and systems to process payroll efficiently.
- Recommend and implement improvements to payroll processes and systems.
- Communicate payroll-related information to employees.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless processes.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical ability
- Experience with Dominican Republic and Latin America payroll
- Managed a payroll of more than 300 employees.
- Experience in auditing
- Experience with payroll vendor
- Excel skills

**Desired qualifications**:

- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Able to train new hires.
- Good process/project management knowledge
- Ability to holistically think about processes and programs; anticipate impact of changes to end users.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on schedule and to the specified requirements.
