**Data Engineer (Talend)**:
**Location**: Mexico (Remote)
**Engagement**: Full-Time / Contractual

**Role Overview**:
We’re seeking a highly skilled **Data Engineer** with hands-on experience in SQL, ETL tools (especially **Talend**), and data pipeline development. This role requires someone who can not only write performant queries and build robust data pipelines but also understand and implement modern data warehousing practices.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement efficient **data ingestion** and **ETL pipelines** using Talend or similar tools
- Write and optimize **advanced SQL queries**, including **window functions** and **Common Table Expressions (CTEs)**
- Clean, structure, and transform large datasets from multiple sources
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data processes with business goals
- Monitor and enhance **data quality, integrity, and reliability**
- Support predictive/prescriptive modeling initiatives by preparing analytical datasets
- Document processes and solutions clearly for cross-functional use

**Must-Have Qualifications**:

- ** 4+ years** of professional experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong SQL expertise including:

- Complex joins, subqueries
- ** Window functions (ROW_NUMBER, RANK, LAG/LEAD)**
- ** CTEs** and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with **Talend**, **Informatica**, **SSIS**, or similar ETL platforms
- Solid understanding of **dimensional modeling**, **data warehousing concepts** (SCDs, fact/dimension tables)
- Experience handling **large-scale relational** and/or **cloud-based databases**
- Familiarity with **data pipeline design** and **error handling**
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience using **Python** for data transformation tasks
- Knowledge of **cloud data services** (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming tools or frameworks
