Your tasks
This is a position grade 9, The main purpose is general accounting processes.
Key Roles and responsabilities:
Manage data integrity and preparation of financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
Complete month end, quarter end and the year end close process based on timelines set
Provide support for general accounting
FIRE process
Prepare, code and record journal entries in GL
Perform data balancing activities
Review trial balance and reconcile / analyze all general ledger accounts
Provide audit support specific to general accounting
Prepare government reports / census
Participate in ensuring team’s metrics/KPIs are met or exceeded
**Profile**:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Meet key competencies for the job
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
- Customer communication skills
- Flexible to new ideas and ways of accomplishing tasks
- Functional knowledge of the general accounting process
- Data Entry skills
- Analytical skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Issue resolution
- Identify and present solutions for process improvements
