- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

In alignment with this bold corporate goal, the Amazon Devices & Services organization is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the development of new, scalable, cloud-based systems to help us deliver products for a zero-carbon future. In this position, you will lead a team of SDEs in developing new Cloud Services, hire, develop and mentor engineers, helping them to build their skills and advance their careers.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience in building new cloud-based services and experiences from the ground up
