Senior QA Automation Engineer

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing. The SDET will also work closely with Software Developers and other QA engineers to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will also add to our company’s performance and scalability testing efforts. This can also include the writing of specialized testing tools for use in testing our software platform

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases against our hardware and software platforms. **5%**:

- Create Automation from test cases for user stories then maintain and execute those test cases. **10%**
- Identify and prioritize which test cases should be automated.
- Create automation test sets in QA Tools and maintain/create frame works for automation **15%**:

- Responsible in running Acceptance and Regression test sets in QA Tools **5%**:

- Responsible in adding test scripts to Regression test sets after feature has been deployed to Production **10%**
- Estimate testing efforts: time from creation to completion for test cases and test scripts
- Responsible in analyzing, troubleshooting, and communicating test results **10%**:

- Create and follow to conclusion any defect/bug written in our tracking tool (JIRA) **5%**:

- Perform code reviews **10%**:

- Participate in day-to-day QE activities and be able to attend all agile ceremonies **5%**
- Organize automation work assignments for team
- Be a mentor and perform one-on-one coaching with team members, when necessary
- Provide training for team members when necessary
- Implement best practices for coding and quality assurance/quality engineering **20%**:

- Understand and implement practices and procedures set forth in the Quality Engineering Center of Excellence initiative **5%**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- 7+ years of experience as a QA
- 4+ years of experience performing **automation testing with Selenium**:

- Professional hands-on experience using coding languages like Java, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Demonstrated experience with **SQL**:

- Experience with QA testing on both** mobile and web** development
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Atlassian, Source Tree, Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket a must.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues required
- Knowledge of Microsoft plug-in tools, such as Selenium and others
- Ability for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code using automation tools
- Ability for creating and executing test plans
- Ability for continuing education and improving code quality through interaction with development team
- Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews
- Knowledge of the SDLC concepts; should have experience in requirements analysis
- Experience with establishing testing environments preferred
- Experience coaching or mentoring others
- Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, Git repositories, Bitbucket, Blue Steel International (BSI), Virtual Office (VO), KIOSK, Skava Platform, Kafka, JD Edwards, C#/.NET or.NET Core, Selenium, WebDriver, Smartbear TestComplete, QATools, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Splunk.
