**About This Role**
- Supports ChildFund International’s overall grant acquisition management, sponsorship retention strategy as well as Fundraising and marketing plan to achieve the financial sustainability of the organization. Lead the development and realization of the resource mobilization strategy in the Country Office (CO) to support the implementation of the CO’s strategic plan. As a member of the senior management team, the Manager is responsible for leading all business development efforts, identifying funding opportunities, supervising high-quality proposals and cultivating relationships with donors, including foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies, corporate partners, and individual donors, major donors, corporate donors as well as local sponsorship donors. This role involves building and leading a high-performing team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation, and closely coordinating with senior management and the global business development team to ensure the country office meets its funding goals.
**Required Experience and Education**
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, international relations, or other relevant field is required.
- A master’s degree in public relations, project management, economics, business, or other relevant area is a plus.
- At least 6 years of experience in resource mobilization in international development organizations in México experience in other industries or technical areas will be considered.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining relationships with diverse donors, including foundations, institutional, corporate, and individual funding sources (examples: USAID, BRPM, AECID, European Union, etc.).
- At least two years of experience supervising teams and leading medium
- and long-term strategies for resource mobilization. Fundraising and sponsorship will be preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in proposal development, grant writing, project budgeting, and donor engagement will be preferred.
**Primary Responsibilities**
**_ RESOURCE MOBILIZATION STRATEGY_**
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of the México Office resource mobilization strategy; actively participate in the preparation of the México Office plans and budgets to ensure conformity with the strategic plan and organizational grant acquisition strategy.
- Coordinate and lead a donor mapping and capture plan to ensure strong fundraising pipeline. In collaboration with the Senior Management Team, conduct robust analysis of the funding pipeline and proactively support actions to strengthen it.
- Working in close coordination with the México Office technical team and the Global Business Development Team, complete successful pre-positioning on relevant grant funding opportunities.
- Identify and analyze funding opportunities originating in the México Office and scope potential partnerships to complement and strengthen the México Office program portfolio.
- Construct the sponsorship retention strategy.
- Design opportunities to integrate sponsorship engagement, operations and processes with Programs to ensure efficient and effective ways forward, advocating and considering the child and sponsor’s experiences.
- Design and propose new ways in which the office could positively impact and increase sponsors acquisition.
- Gather relevant and timely intelligence information necessary for grant acquisition; identify grant opportunities and relevant institutional guidance materials to share with relevant departments.
- Build staff and partner organization capabilities for successful grant acquisition and management.
- Lead the use of organizational system and tools (including Salesforce) to support the execution of the resource mobilization strategy.
- Ensure that Business Development activity aligns with ChildFund’s Business Development Policy, Procedures and Practices.
- Ensure that Country Director as well as Board is informed about the challenges, progress and achievement of fundraising goals.
