- Implement, evaluate and qualify changes to existing processes or tools designed to improve product quality, productivity and equipment efficiency. Performs optimization to the Molding process and equipment using scientific molding principles and problem analysis and resolution tools.
- Demonstrated ability to set-up, start-up, operate and shut down process related equipment. Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues.
- Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve yield and throughput, drive cost reduction activities and improve on part quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators and other molding personnel.
- Communicates effectively with leads, supervisors, machine operators and supporting departments (i.e. Purchasing and Quality). May initiate meetings, as needed, to solve quality or machine problems.
Experiência y requisitos
- Required Bachelor's Degree Mechanical, Electrical, industrial, Chemical or related field
- 5 years’ Experience in plastic injection molding processing and tooling.
- Experience with hot runner systems and controllers.
- Production Supervisor experience.
- Preferred Other Experience with robotic part removal.
- Preferred Scientific Injection Molding Certificate.
- Experience in mold design.
- Certified as Master Molder I.
- Ultem & Peek Injection Molding experience.
