Overview:
Ellucian is seeking an innovative and dynamic Lead Software Full Stack Engineer. We are looking for a hands-on individual to be an integral part of the design, build out and adoption of an exciting new SaaS, cloud-based higher education solution.
Working closely with product architects and product management you will be working on a new technology project involving the design and creation of a new product.
**Where you will make an impact**
- Participating in the design, development, and delivery of new solutions for the next generation of Higher Education products.
- Communicating to technical and non-technical audience both internally and with clients and business partners
- Advocating and implementing front-end engineering best practices related to usability, performance, security, and code quality
- Providing written and verbal knowledge and to other team members through collaboration and training
**What you will bring**
- Strong experience with React.JS or another modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
- Experience in technically leading a team of Software Engineers or experience in mentoring/coaching other developers.
- Experience in AWS and database technology a plus (Postgres, No SQL)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Solid fundamentals on Object-Oriented Design, Patterns and Data Structures
- Experience with design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable transactional enterprise systems.
- A self-motivated and innovative mindset with a passion for learning new technology.
- Strong, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exposure to BDD/TDD beneficial.
- Desirable - Experience using some of the following tools: Selenium WebDriver, CodeUI, JUnit, JMeter
- Desirable - Experience with the following languages desirable Java, C++ or C#
- Desirable - Scrum master experience
