Lead Performance Tester

We are seeking a highly skilled **Lead Performance Tester** to drive the strategy for scalability, efficiency, and reliability across our complex systems and architecture.

As a key leader on the team, you will oversee performance initiatives, implement advanced tools, and set best practices to elevate our technology platform.

**Responsibilities**
- Define and lead the strategy for scalability and performance testing to meet evolving business needs
- Analyze and interpret complex system behaviors under load, delivering high-impact optimization plans
- Oversee and refine the use of tools like Artillery for generating loads and monitoring performance milestones
- Lead collaborative efforts within a microservices architecture to proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
- Define observability best practices using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and other modern monitoring tools
- Architect advanced automation processes for testing, data collection, diagnostics, and reporting
- Optimize CI/CD pipeline usage to enable robust deployments and testing workflows at scale
- Guide performance tuning across multiple cloud platforms, including GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Mentor teams to build scalable, high-performing solutions within e-commerce environments
- Harness expertise in programming (Go, Scala, TypeScript) to craft complex testing frameworks
- Take full ownership of end-to-end load testing approaches, enforcing the highest quality standards

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in performance, scalability, and reliability testing roles
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proven expertise in load testing tools like Artillery and deep programming proficiency in Go, Scala, or TypeScript
- Advanced knowledge of observability frameworks like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or ELK stack for diagnostics
- Strong background in microservices architecture design and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Extensive experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
- Proven ability to lead e-commerce performance optimization and implement efficient storefront solutions
- Exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities with a decisive, adaptable mindset
- English proficiency at B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher

**Nice to have**
- Demonstrated expertise in the e-commerce domain, with achievements in distributed systems architecture
- Experience with additional testing tools such as JMeter or Blazemeter to suit diverse business needs
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures to design solutions supporting seamless, scalable operations
