**Gain Classroom Experience Before You Train to Teach**

**Location**: South Manchester
**Position**: Aspiring Teacher (Graduate Roles)
**Start Date**: Immediate starts available
**Hours**: Full-time or part-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 3:30 PM)
**Pay**: £90-£100 per day

Whether you're planning to start a PGCE, SCITT or other teacher training course in the near future or you're simply exploring your career options Cover People's **Aspiring Teacher Programme** is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in secondary schools across South Manchester.

We work with mainstream secondary schools in South Manchester, Tameside, Trafford and Stockport to offer graduates valuable, real-world classroom experience. You ll work as a **Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Mentor**, gaining insights into behaviour management, student engagement, and lesson delivery.

**Who We re Looking For**
- We re keen to hear from confident, enthusiastic individuals who:

- Have a passion for working with young people aged
- Are considering a future in education
- Can communicate clearly, manage behaviour, and support learning in a classroom setting

**Key Responsibilities**
- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Support engaging, interactive lessons
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Provide small group or one-to-one support
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor s degree (minimum); Master s or PhD also welcomed
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to supervise classes and manage behaviour
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Cover People
- Previous experience working with children or in schools is a bonus, but not essential
