SAP BW BI ABAP HANA developer

Position Summary

The individual in this position is competent in at least one SAP module and is familiar with SAP and other IT technologies. They can regularly coach other team members and assist others so that project deadlines are met. This position requires excellent communications skills and accountability for the quality of efforts and deliverables.

2. A day in the life of
- Provide technical consulting support, troubleshooting guidance and leadership on resolving BW system issues
- Provide technical expertise and business analysis as a strong technical resource on the BW support team - leading technical reviews, and solution design and development activities that supports business needs
- Provide technical detailed specifications from which ABAP programs will be written when required; oversee the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting of programs
- Develop the localized BW solution following the development life cycle and best practices
- Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals; execute corrective actions
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet the expected customer service levels
- Support the current BW production environment by working directly with end users and ensuring all service levels are met

What will make you successful.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required
- 4+ years of experience developing, configuring, and deploying SAP BW
- Knowledge of project management techniques is required (cross-functional experience is highly desired)
- Experience with structured design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures
- Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret technical requirements and translate them into system specifications
- Excellent verbal and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including aptitude for mentoring and coaching others, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels
- Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer; the ability to identify alternatives, workarounds, or temporary solutions.
- The ability to challenge the status quo and recommend new methods and solutions to problems and issues
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
