JOB STATEMENT

Responsible for planning and overseeing projects within an organisation, from the initial ideation through to completion. Coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives. Act as a point of liaison between the project team and senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in project management.
Experience in managing / leading multifunctional teams.
Related degree, certification, and technical abilities.
Experience working in the mining, engineering or construction related industry.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation - both internal and third party.
Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
Managing delivery of the project according to this plan.
Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong management skills including team orientation, drive of performance culture and motivation of team members.
Time management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
Capability to articulate and communicate topics within the area of expertise to all levels of the organization.
Ability to collect data & information to make strategic analysis & recommendations.
A high level of computer skills is essential - Excel, Word, Power Point and Access.
**Strong operational performance**: Cost and performance vs. set KPIs, industry standards.
Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines.
**Language skills (written, listening and oral)**: English (mandatory).
Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere.
Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, decision making and working in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
