IT Data Engineer

Join our KLA Digital Unit as an IT Data Engineer and play a key role in building scalable data solutions that power insights and decision-making across the organization.
We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and tools. This role is essential to ensure data quality, enable automation, and deliver value through collaboration with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Finance, and Marketing.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Build and Maintain Data Pipelines - Develop and support data workflows using AWS services such as Glue and Athena, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and aligned with business calendars.
Enable Business Insights - Collaborate with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to deliver data that supports strategic decisions and adds measurable value.
Drive Automation and Optimization - Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement scalable solutions using Python and SQL.
Support Regional Projects - Contribute to key initiatives (Lighthouses) across regions including Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia, supporting tools like Price Tracker and PromoDashboard.
Ensure Data Governance - Maintain documentation and ensure data solutions meet internal standards and compliance requirements.
We’re Looking for Someone With
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data engineering or data development roles.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, especially Glue and Athena.
Proficiency in Python and SQL (medium to advanced level).
Strong analytical and communication skills; able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
English proficiency (advanced); able to participate in global meetings and documentation.
Experience with PySpark and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) would be a plus.
