**JOB SUMMARY* **- May lead a small team of planners to ensure that production is completed as efficient as possible. - Responsible to develop systems to improve site efficiency utilizing all available resources to plan production while meeting customer requirements and inventory targets **RESPONSIBILITIES**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Leads preparation of schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes.
- Leads customer service and inventory results for their assigned codes.
- Leads analysis of product demand, sales patterns, forecasts, production specifications and plant capacity data.
- Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production.
- Monitors planning modules or production planning systems and related information
- Drive opportunities for lead time improvements.
- Act as the business unit manager’s customer service champion and recommend actions to achieve service and inventory objectives.
- Provides guidance on any activity that affects capacity required to achieve the short-term production volume, which would include making recommendation to the business unit manager on the need to run overtime to achieve the production requirements.
- Leads review of capacity loads and identifies possible manufacturing constraints. Monitors and anticipates production issues due to capacity and new product launches.
- Ensures resources required for production.
- Provide weekly and daily direction to the manufacturing business unit manager and leadership team to ensure required production levels are achieved.
- Ensures systems data integrity and accuracy of signals.
- Ensure optimum mix of codes and quantities are scheduled within available capacity daily.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure raw materials are available to achieve the production plan.
- Work with Supply Planner to identify proper allocation of scarce raw materials.
- Identify root causes to issues and recommend corrective actions affecting ability to run the short-term production plan.
- Ensure the Process Excellence team updates planning parameters to reflect demonstrated manufacturing capability (lead time, yield, scrap rates, usage rates).
- Ensure planned events (conversion / transfers) affecting production do not impact customer service or inventory goals.
- Responsible for creating ICOs necessary to support planned events / base business.
- Responsible for managing / mapping capacity within the Advanced Planning System.
- Ensure JNJ affiliate product requirements are satisfied.
- Prepares production /planning reports as required.
- Analyzes month end activity to determine the need for forecast modification. Recommends revisions. - Participate in and support the GOALS process.
- Provide information as necessary to track / trend customer service, inventory and performance metrics.
- Correct work orders as required.
- Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, and/or plant production departments as required. Monitors work orders from start to ensure the on-time delivery of products.
- Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.
- Lead and identifies improvement opportunities for plant or manufacturing unit supply S&OPs as required.
- Identify and drives opportunities to improve inventory investment through inventory entitlement model for applicable production line.
- Drives Lean / Six Sigma Improvement Kaizens or Opportunities
- Considered an SME with responsibilities for multiple sites’ support within Franchises/Clusters.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Follow current compliance regulations and standards.
- Comply with all assigned trainings on timely manner.
- Comply with all federal regulated programs.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified in supply chain planning (CSCP) is desirable.
