Systems Security Specialist

Purpose:
Safeguard and protect data and information held by the systems and ensure the continuity of operations in both plants in Gdl. Preventing possible damage, malfunction or lack of connectivity of equipment such as: CCTV, access controls among others.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Identify the regulatory, service or software requirements necessary to implement, improve and guarantee the effectiveness of the computer security protocol, guaranteeing the integrity, confidentiality and protection of all the company's assets at a technological level.
- Maintain the network security architecture, its access and control policies.
- Maintain direct and timely communication with the Corporate Security areas. Guaranteeing the correct functionality and implementation of the changes proposed by these entities.
- Give timely continuity to the initiatives to improve the Security infrastructure, proposed by Corporate Security.
- Supervise and manage changes that occur in computer security and keep up to date with new threats that appear in the world of computer security to prepare for them in a preventive manner.
- Implement specific information security controls for the systems or services that are introduced in the company.
- Develop and present the annual computer security operating plan in the company.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Inventory, document and update the of cameras, doors, magnetic plates and access controls.
- Manage preventive maintenance according to its periodicity for all related systems, such as: cctv cameras, communication radios, audio systems, access controls and turnstiles.
- Respond and solve possible problems and incidents that arise on a day-to-day basis, through care planning and reporting.
- Validate periodicity and audit the execution of preventive maintenance at access doors to plants by Facilities.
- Validate periodicity and audit the execution of preventive maintenance to the security systems in EGL Warehouse.
- Maintain the inventory of spare parts and parts available for replacement of cameras, magnetic plates, access controls, among others.
- Get involved and identify the requirements for modifications, extensions and / or changes in the infrastructure of the different projects.
- Manage with the different suppliers and departments involved; to requisitions with budgets, OR’s, PO’s of the requirements for changes in the infrastructure.
- Supervise and validate the processes and works carried out by suppliers, in order to guarantee the quality and functionality of the works carried out for infrastructure improvements.
- Manage permits before the SCT for the use of communication frequencies with radio equipment.
- Audit and manage the correct functionality and communication quality of the radios available for EHS & Security.
- Audit and document the maintenance, manipulation and interventions to the alarm system panels. As well as Raiser, smoke detectors, Photo-Bean and manual stations.

Education / Experience Qualifications:

- A minimum of schooling at the Technical Baccalaureate level.
- Minimum two years of work experience as a Security Systems Technician.

An equivalent combination of education and sufficient experience can be considered to successfully perform key job responsibilities.

- Mastery of measurement equipment such as: multimeter

Work Environment:

- The work environment should consist of an Operations and office environment with adequate lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
