**Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita**

Opening in early 2027, Omni Hotels & Resorts has officially broken ground and construction is well underway on Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, the brand’s first luxury resort in Mexico. Staying true to the brand’s mission of creating elevated places and spaces that are inspired by a destination, the resort’s exterior and interiors will pay homage to the local culture with a contemporary twist.

This beachfront resort will feature 244 guest rooms and suites and two 4-bedroom villas with sweeping views of the Bay of Banderas. Complementing the local area’s many attractions and activities, the resort will offer three original restaurant concepts, a destination spa with 14 treatment rooms, two retail shops, multiple pools including adult-only and family-friendly options, a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor fitness center, and a kids club. Boasting over 27,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the Omni Pontoque will feature a 6,000 square foot ballroom, an open-air pavilion, multiple event lawns and dedicated meeting rooms, all of which provide breathtaking ocean views.

When you step into any of our Mexico resort’s 202 guest rooms, 42 suites, or two villas, your eye will be drawn straight through to stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Pass under jungle shadows to reach your treatment room at the luxurious spa for a restorative massage or body scrub. Spend days splashing in the ocean surf or lounging by one of three resort pools, and discover regional inspired Mexican cuisine at three unique restaurants, each with ocean views. With over 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including an open-air pavilion, host an intimate destination wedding in Punta de Mita or an energizing conference at the coastline.

The** Director of Finance**directs the accounting and control functions at the hotel, while ensuring timely reporting of operating results and maintaining the integrity of the management information system.

This position will be based on property in Punta de Mita.

**Responsibilities**:

- This position will act as the primary contact for accounting matters in Mexico for Omni Hotels and Resorts
- Establish all accounting requirements to open the property, including monitoring and maintaining pre-opening budget
- Supervise all accounting functions
- Prepare the financial statements within the time frames supplies in the corporate closing schedule and according to the Omni Policies and Procedures
- Analyze and interpret financial results in order to assist and advise the General Manager and the Omni Corporate Team
- Maintain balance sheet analysis on monthly basis with supporting detail
- Prepare accurate cash flow statements and projections on a monthly basis and on request
- Prepare timely and accurate sales, use and occupancy tax returns as well as any other external reports or returns as deemed necessary
- Ensure compliance with the management agreement and attendant legal documents. Understanding how those documents translate into financial responsibilities and how they may affect both the hotel's and Corporate's financial position
- Maintain effective system and control procedures as set forth in the policies and procedures manuals
- Ensure that all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other information required by Omni are accurately compiled and submitted within the specified time limits, identifying variances, and making recommendations for improvements as appropriate
- Review forecasts and budgets prepared by hotel management team to ensure that owners, the General Manager, and Omni Corporate Management are provided with guidelines of performance that are both reasonable and achievable
- Ensure all legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and secured, and that all statuary and fiscal reporting requirements are satisfied, which includes any governmental requirements for permits and licenses
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage is maintained to protect the assets of the hotel with particular regard to the requirements contained in the hotel's management contract
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of the hotels' assets against loss or misappropriation

Qualifications:

- A BS or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/Finance highly preferred but not required
- 4+ years’ experience as a hotel/resort Director of Finance
- Bilingual in Spanish & English
