Truck Driver

**Position Summary**:
The position of Long-Haul Truck Driver in Yerington, NV. This role is primarily responsible for operating semi-trucks with tractor trailers (including doubles and triples) to transport materials, and equipment over long distances.

**Pay Rate**:
This position pays **$27.88 per hour (USD).**.

Some of the job functions include:

- Operate semi-trucks to transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Deliver loads on time as assigned by the Fleet Coordinator.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or injury.
- Conduct and complete all vehicle inspection, safety, and trip checklists as required before and after each trip.
- Abide by all DOT regulations, including drive time limitations and Drug & Alcohol Policy.
- Drive safely in compliance with all traffic laws and adjust driving according to road and weather conditions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with government officials, and the general public.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Federal Driver's License (Class B CARGO)
- 3 years of semi-truck driving experience
- Clean driving record with no moving violations.
- Active medical certification.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Proficient in GPS and other routing systems.
- **Ability to speak and understand English well enough to read road signs and communicate effectively.**

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to possess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts. The employee will be required to sit for long periods of time; Walk; Sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and or move objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds. Specific vision required to perform this job includes close vision and the ability to adjust focus. It is required to possess the ability to stay alert and focused during long periods of travel. Other physical demands may be required of this position.

**Requirements**:

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**:
This position requires great physical endurance and concentration during long shifts of driving. It requires sitting for long periods, walking, reaching, listening, and occasionally lifting up to 23 kg. Near vision and alertness are also required.
