Job summary
Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Transportation Operations Manager with solid delivery record, methodical skills and ability to own and implement cross-functional yard management programs for Regional Cluster FCs/SCs.

TOM team focuses on handling the yard activities in the Fulfillment centers and Sort centers across Mexico. This team is the interface between Amazon sites and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating program management activities and promote new initiatives/projects for TOM team.

You will also define and plan the yard capacity and design activities in existing and new FCs/SCs in the designated Regional Cluster.

To be effective in this role, you need solid business understanding and methodical skills allowing the data to guide us to a better understanding of how we can improve the yard management processes.

Key job responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the yard capacity and trailer pool for regional cluster sites in Mexico.
- Set and clarify the business requirements and targets with the TOM Coordinators.
- Establish and maintain the operations mechanisms and metrics, sharing them to TOM leadership and Operations Managers through daily/weekly review meetings.
- Coordinate the new initiatives to improve the yard processes to meet and exceed the business requirements.
- Work closely with the Operations Managers and Sr. Operations Managers to build and secure support.
- Requires travel within Mexico.

A day in the life
The TOM Manager will attend daily basis meetings to sync with Operations on key issues impacting the operation; yard capacity, trailer plans, yard accuracy, and transportation management.

Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Working knowledge with SQL.
Experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data to drive root cause elimination and process improvements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to communicate across business areas.
Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish).
