KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in technical design of solution that is based on use cases and business requirements
- Complete proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs, and solutions
- Contribute to the creation of detail design and use case documents
- Effectively interact with internal teams to develop solutions to complex technical issues on highly visible business opportunities
- Analyze current solution architecture & design and propose solutions that increase business value, optimize performance and enhance quality
- Adhere and contribute to best practices, guidelines, standards and procedures guidelines
- Communicate and present complex technical concepts for peer

Expertise of Core Java, JEE technologies, REST, and container-based technologies.

Experience with back-end technologies such as JDBC, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JMX

Experience with SQL and relational database usage with commercial-grade databas

Core Skills
- Experience with databases both relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL, HBase)
- Knowledge of Rest APIs
- Prior experience in Java Spring Boot (micro services), Hibernate framework.
- Experience in release engineering, configuration management, software development or related discipline.
- Prioritize issues coming in as ServiceNow tickets from the users
- Verify that incident tickets are prioritized and routed correctly
- Lead investigations and resolutions for incidents and engage the required groups including Infrastructure Support and Application Development teams as needed
- Responsible for a combination of the following within a broader engineering organization: System availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.
- Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup
- Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues.
- Analyzes any complex issues.
- Prior Experience in working across regions and cross functional teams
- Contributes to incident resolution for high priority incidents.
- May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.
- Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting ability, technical experience, and motivation to learn to assist experienced IT professionals.
- Technical background includes Windows Client/Server, Linux Server and related technologies.
- Must have some experience in process workload automation or some programming or scripting skillset (SQL, Python, Shell or Windows Powershell).
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and have a production support discipline to support rigorous demands to support business operations including availability off-hours and on weekends.

- Hands on Java Technologist
- experience in Spring Batch Framework, Spark, Kafka Streaming Solutions
- Knowledge of Rest APIs
- Prior experience in Sprint Boot (micro services) framework.
- Partner with QA/Ops/Client teams in supporting QA/UAT initiatives
- Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures.
- Experience with continuous integration build engines, such as Jenkins, Cruise Control, etc.
- Experience with IT automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
- Experience with container technology such as Docker
- Exposure to Agile development processes and tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Kanban.
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, batch, etc.) and familiarity with Windows, Linux (RHEL preferred) and Unix.
- Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes.
- Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments.
- May review and execute Change Management scripts.
