**Sr. Buyer**

**Descripción y Requisitos**
- The Senior Buyer
- ** **is responsible for procurement of the required raw material goods necessary to support the manufacturing operations ensuring all purchasing orders are planned in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner in line with customer required dates and proper inventory levels for raw materials. They will identify, select suppliers and negotiate prices for their assigned commodities and all related suppliers.**ACTIVITIES**:

- Create and drive a strategy for their assigned commodities and suppliers.
- Drive cost out projects, localization projects, and other SCM projects as related to their supply base.
- Request quotations, selects suppliers, negotiates, awards purchase orders and issues change orders as required according to established Material Policies and Procedures guide and standard work.
- Quality System requirements.
- Expedite purchase orders. Notify purchasing and planning departments of the expected delivery dates and follows up on back orders and supplier performance.
- Resolve quality, invoicing, specifications, and shipment problems with vendors on a fair and equitable basis in a timely manner..
- Suggest and implement improvements to departmental procedures for ordering, expediting, follow-up as approved by the Purchasing Manager.
- Conduct all business at the highest level of integrity and ethics.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Industrial Engineer, a related field, or at least three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience dealing with local and foreign suppliers in a contractual format.
- Minimum of 3 years working with SAP
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Working knowledge of MRP systems, just in time concepts and respective production processes
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiating skills; profit and action biased. Experience in scheduling agreements / contracts.
- Possesses a high energy level with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organizations is essential

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience negotiating, developing, and managing request for quotations and subsequent contracts.
- SAP experience preferred
- Direct material purchasing preferred
- Core tools
