As a Global BP&A Sr Analyst supporting the Global BPA team, you will support the GBPA Sr. Manager in Mexico City by preparing financial reports for senior management, consolidating Total Alcon operating results, conducting accounting research, performing ad hoc analysis on operating performance and other relevant data, assisting in the consolidation of forecasts and strategic plans, and executing additional responsibilities as assigned.

In this role, a typical day will include:

- Drive improved management reporting - work with supported finance teams to more efficiently and accurately track financial results
- Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to supported finance teams
- Disciplined use of financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, Analysis etc.) to manage and perform analysis of financial results
- Develop and deploy BI / decision support tools and technologies that enhance the depth, breadth, speed and efficiency of the decision support capabilities
- Support FP&A processes - consolidate and analyze Budget and Forecasts, prepare overviews of actual results, etc.
- Build detailed financial, scenario-based models to enable better management decisions and evaluate potential alternatives;
- Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned to support senior management and IR team

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, operations, or related analytical discipline
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Excel and large databases, with strong skills in automation, macro programming, and navigating complex files. Able to efficiently structure and analyze data, providing multiple views of the P&L
- Experienced in financial systems, with the ability to identify and extract cost information at a detailed level. Proficiency in SAP and Aspire/EPM is required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization, exhibiting leadership qualities.
- Strong understanding of finance processes at a global and regional levels
- Good understanding of practices in accounting and FP&A, forecasting, closing
- Ability to critically review and improve initiative metrics
- Strong analytical capabilities & communication skills
- Ability to work in a very demanding and resource constraint environment
- Proven track record for achievement, results-oriented
- Team player willing to work toward shared goals
- Full professional proficiency in English language
