**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
Our positions in Monterrey are hybrid roles enabling our team to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. Our office space in Monterrey was designed to promote collaboration for our scrum teams and increase our development velocity. In addition, you'll enjoy a great view of the city, fresh coffee, and the occasional happy hour.

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is a broadly-based role responsible for the day-to-day revenue accounting functions including the month end close process and account reconciliation activities, as well as assisting with various weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting to senior management.

**GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Uses financial data to prepare and record general ledger journal entries.
- Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Analyzes the financial statements and provides concise explanations for variances.
- Researches period over period variances in revenue and cost of sales, as needed, and provides logical explanations for fluctuations.
- Responsible for adhering to all internal controls and policies as set forth by the Controller. Includes maintaining evidence of the timely control performance for audit and SOX purposes.
- Review new contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment. Ensure that the conclusion is appropriately documented and obtain sign
- off by manager/Controller prior to recognizing revenue.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

**GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**:

- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, practices, and procedures
- Ability to create spreadsheets and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prepare financial reports
- Ability to understand financial information
- Ability to work with entry-level and middle managers in analyzing financial situations
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in an organized manner and consistently follow-up on tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per month
