**About the role**
**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Technician / Mechanic - Compression Engineering, you’ll be responsible for:
- Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues
- Build prototype compressors, make compressor modifications, and perform compressor tear down analysis
- Test operation, troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Test equipment modification, maintenance and construction
- general mechanical talents including brazing, welding, and installation of special instrumentation devices to support compressor design, testing and development.
- Part inspection and use of measurement equipment
**Requirements**:

**As a minimum you must have**:
- 1-2 years of experience in related area
- Technical diploma/studying a BSc in Engineering.
- Experience with refrigeration, brazing, machining, and mechanical field experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and digital cameras
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- ** Intermediate**English (At least good reading, written, and understanding skills)**
**Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have**:
- Advanced English
- Factory Training from a compressor manufacturer or Associated Technical School
- Refrigeration Handling Certification
- Ability to solve challenging and complex customer requests
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and can work with both imperial and metric systems
