**Supply Planner**

Omron Automation Americas is looking for a Supply Planner in Mexico City to take on the Supply Chain responsibilities of communicating with Suppliers and collaborating with Demand Planners.

**ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENTS**

**Manager**: Senior Supply Chain Manager

**Staff**: There are no direct reports

**Peers**: Planners, Buyers, Factory Planners, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing

**Reporting Structure**: direct report to Supply Planner Supervisor

**Travel**: mínimal travel required

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Place all 3rd party purchase orders
- Update delivery dates from 3rd party Suppliers
- Maintain accurate delivery dates from all 3rd party and overseas factories
- Manage inbound special orders from overseas
- Manage communication with Sales, Marketing and Customer Care for all inquiries
- Work with overseas factories and Business Unit Managers on lead-time accuracy to mitigate product supply risks.
- Evaluate and prepare reports on related activities such as stock value against budgets, inventory aging, inventory turns and collaborates with Demand Planners
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, and sales opportunities while balancing spend against budget requirements.
- Work with Supply Chain Manager and peers to develop a cohesive Supply Chain process to support the business growth.
- Review performance with suppliers and factories against targets, benchmarks and service level agreements, report deficiencies and recommend improvement actions.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Education**: Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

**Experience**:

- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, preferably in the Electronic or Electro-mechanical Industries.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management supported by a wider knowledge of end-to-end supply chain process a must.
- Experience with overseas suppliers/factories required.

**Technical Abilities**:

- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collect data, analyze and produce sound recommendations for supply chain planning improvements.
- Detail oriented with strong business acumen.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs and Outlook/Lotus Notes.
- Proficient with Excel, V-look up, pivot tables, formulas etc.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred)
